Family pay tribute to 'compassionate' and 'hardworking' boy killed in crash

The family of a 17-year-old boy who died following a collision in Dodleston have paid tribute to him.

Ronnie Tillott, from Chester, died on Friday 11 July following a collision on Welsh Road.

Following his tragic death, Ronnie's family said: "As a family, we are devastated and heartbroken at the loss of a wonderful son and brother.

"Ronnie was the most compassionate, hardworking and just an all-round great kid.

"Our lives will never be the same. Ronnie will be truly missed by all his friends and family."

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is urged to get in touch with police.

Police and ambulance crews were called to reports of a crash between a tractor and a moped on Welsh Road, Dodleston, shortly after 7.30am on Friday (July 11).

Despite the best efforts of all involved, the rider of the moped, Ronnie Tillot, died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor, a 19-year-old man from Wrexham, was uninjured.

No arrests have been made at this time.
