Emergency services free driver following crash on Parkgate Road

A person was rescued from their car this morning (Tuesday 10 March) following a crash in Chester.
Shortly after 9.15am, two fire engines from Powey Lane and Chester attended a crash involving multiple vehicles on Parkgate Road.
Firefighters released one casualty who was trapped in their vehicle by cutting off the driver's side door. Paramedics also attended the scene to assess those involved.
Whilst Cheshire Fire and Rescue has listed the incident as a "three-vehicle road traffic collision", Cheshire Police have described the crash as involving two vehicles - with both drivers taken to hospital for check ups.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters have released one casualty who was trapped in their vehicle by cutting off the driver's side door."
"One casualty was handed into the care of paramedics. Two cars had their batteries isolated for safety before the incident was handed over to the care of paramedics."
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 9.15am on Tuesday 10 March, police were called to reports of a collision on Parkgate Road, Chester. The collision involved two vehicles. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital for check ups."
