Countdown begins for 'Poppy Fields' sound and light show at Chester Cathedral

The countdown has begun for 'Poppy Fields', an immersive light and sound show, reflecting on the end of the First and Second World Wars.

Opening on Tuesday 18 February at Chester Cathedral, the poignant and moving show will take guests on an immersive journey through fine art, sound and light installations.

Poppy Fields will utilise a brand-new route around the space, with a reduced number of people entering per session via the south west porch.

The 2025 show incorporates a collection of fine art projection artworks that reflect on the end of World War Two, but more importantly look at the hopes and wishes for peace.

Luxmuralis is a range of immersive fine art, light and sound installations around the UK and abroad.

'Poppy Fields' will incorporate a collection of fine art projection artworks that reflect on the end of World War One and World War Two.

The event will run from 18 February 2025 to 22 February 2025.

Entry will be staggered from 5.30pm with last entry at 8.15pm.

Tickets are priced at £10.50 for adults, £7 for children and concessions at £9.50.
