Commonhall Street venue to reopen as Forde's coffee shop this October

A new coffee shop and events space is set to open on Commonhall Street this October.
Forde's is set to replace Just Coffee, a coffee shop and co-working space which closed this year after the previous owners cited "increasing pressures and rising costs".
The venue was previously home to The Arc art gallery, which closed in 2022 after nearly 30 years in the building.
Whilst a specific opening date hasn't yet been confirmed, the team behind Forde's have teased an October launch on their social media pages.
New signs have already been installed at the unit, while the windows remain covered.

The venture appears to be linked to Anthony Forde, Irish professional footballer and co-founder of Lee Forde Academy Limited.
Public records on UK Companies House indicate that Forde was appointed as a director of LANS 2026 LTD in July 2026, a corporate entity established just ahead of the launch.
His personal Instagram bio also currently features a direct link to the venue's official social media page.
Launched in August 2024, Just Coffee offered specialty coffee alongside hot-desking facilities, venue hire and its sister company, 'Just Content', which specialised in content creation on the top floor.
