Frodsham Street's Tesco Superstore will reopen later than expected this month.

Having temporarily closed for refurbishment in January, the store will now reopen on Monday 30 March.

The supermarket has undergone a refit with improvements to the store's layout - including new fridges, freezers and lighting upgrades.

A Tesco spokesperson said: "Our Chester Superstore is currently closed while we complete a refit to improve the shopping experience for customers.

"The store will open on Monday 30 March 2026. We apologise for the inconvenience, and we look forward to welcoming customers back to store later this month."

To ensure customers can still access the service, the on-site pharmacy has been temporarily relocated to a nearby retail unit just outside the store during the works.

Other nearby Tesco stores will remain open as usual, including Chester Sealand Road Superstore and Broughton Chester Extra store.
