Chester Repair Café returns to Hoole Community Centre this Saturday (17 May).

The monthly event welcomes members of the public to bring their broken items in a bid to reduce waste and save people money in the process.

Items ranging from toasters, trikes, computers and clothes can be fixed by a skilled set of volunteers - who help breathe life back into well-loved items at no cost.

The next Chester Repair Café takes place on Saturday 17 May from 10.30am to 12.30pm, at Hoole Community Centre.

It is recommended that attendees only bring one item at a time.

Repairs are free of charge but donations towards running costs are appreciated.

The Repair Café concept arose in Amsterdam in 2009, and in 2010 the Repair Café International Foundation was formed.

It provides professional support to local groups around the world wishing to start their own Repair Cafe and supports the Repair Café in Chester.
