Police release CCTV following £1,800 sculpture theft in Chester

Police investigating reports of the theft of a sculpture from an art gallery in Chester have released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.

At around 3pm on Monday 10 March an unknown offender stole a sculpture worth around £1,800 from a gallery on St Michaels Row in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

Police Constable Darren Franks, of Chester LPU, said: "Enquiries are currently ongoing and as part of our investigation, we would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image.

"If anyone recognises this man, please contact us via www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting occurrence number 25000208493.

"I would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to come forward."

Information can also be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
