A free festival is set to take place in Chester city centre next month, inspired by eco-conscious living.

Now in its second year, Chester Green Weekend celebrates sustainability with a series of unique local events, workshops and activities across the city.

Taking place on 7 and 8 June, there will be interactive workshops on sustainable living, talks from local experts, community-led activities promoting eco-friendly practices, family friendly activities and local food.

Guests will also find entertainment and stalls across Town Hall Square, Exchange Square and The Deans Field at Chester Cathedral.

The event will be free of charge, featuring a range of activities, workshops, stalls, food and entertainment.

It forms part of the national Great Big Green Week. - designed to engage the community and attract visitors over the course of a weekend.
