Chester's inclusive fitness studio marks one-year with open day event

A Boughton-based studio is hosting an interactive open day this weekend to celebrate its first birthday.
This Sunday (25 May) Poise will host various taster dance classes, designed for those wanting to try a new hobby, or even return to dance as an adult.
Kicking off at 11:30am with a tap dance taster session, the day has something for everyone.

Alicia Jelley opened the doors to Poise on Christleton Road last May, creating a space dedicated to getting adults enjoying all the benefits of dance and movement.
The mother-of-two wanted to focus on creating an inclusive space which fosters a joy of movement, as opposed to creating fear and resentment around exercise.
Almost a year on, the studio owner is gearing up to mark the occasion with an open-day event, featuring a pop up activewear shop, refreshments, a selfie station and a chance to win a full year's membership for free.

At the heart of Poise's mission is the belief that you're never too old, and it's never too late to pick up dance.
The studio also recently hosted its first ever showcase at St Mary's Creative Space - creating an inspiring evening where dancers of all abilities and ages performed a range of styles.
