A51 road closure remains in place following tractor crash

The A51 inbound between the A41 and Green Lane remains closed - following a collision which saw a tractor collide with two houses.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has also warned against drivers "ignoring the road closure", with the situation being monitored by police.
On 1 April at 6.36am, police were called to reports of a collision on the A51 Vicars Cross Road, near to the junction of Pearl Lane.
Officers attended the scene and found that there had been a collision between a tractor and a Mercedes.

The tractor had also collided with two houses. There were no reports of any serious injuries, however a total of 16 residents were evacuated from their homes with two properties at risk of further collapse.
Road closures were enforced and currently remain in place.
A spokesperson for the council said: "The A51 outbound is open.

"The A51 inbound between the A41 and Green Lane remains closed until the temporary reinforcement and stabilisation of the buildings has been completed - following the incident that left two properties at risk of further collapse.
"The stabilisation work continues this week.
"Drivers ignoring the road closure are putting both themselves, other drivers and contractors working on site in danger.
"This is being monitored by Cheshire Police."
