Chester's newest açai cafe opens next week

Lower Bridge Street's newest "go-to" healthy food spot is set to open next week.

Guests can expect to find açai bowls, smoothies and matcha at The Açai Grove on 72 Lower Bridge Street.

Its 22-year-old co-owner, Connie Kidd - who has amassed over 100,000 followers on TikTok, recently announced doors will open for the first time on Saturday 26 April.

Taking over the former Bridge Street Barbers, the spot is a new addition for Chester - specialising in healthy food and drink.

In her latest TikTok, she said: "I just want to say a massive thank you for all the support; we literally appreciate it so much.

"Hopefully we'll be open by the end of next week."

Co-owner, Connie Kidd, told Chester Nub News: "We're so excited to bring The Açai Grove to Chester

"It's going to be a vibrant spot offering fresh açai bowls, smoothies, juices and speciality coffee.

"Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can connect, recharge and enjoy feel-good food, that nourishes both body and soul.

"We're so excited to be part of Chester's thriving community."

Açai, pronounced ah-sigh-ee, is a berry found on açai palm trees in South African rainforests, primarily in Brazil.

It is often used to create frozen smoothie bowls with a dark purple colour, providing a rich source of antioxidants.

Açai bowls are usually topped with chopped fruit, granola and some kind of nut butter - such as peanut or almond.
