Brio Northgate is set to reopen this May, following a multi-million-pound transformation of one of the city's most popular leisure facilities.

Opening on Tuesday 5 May, the development includes upgraded pool facilities, a refreshed gym, new changing areas, modern studio spaces, and improvements to outdoor areas.

Visitors can expect a fully upgraded experience, from a high-tech gym and state-of-the-art fitness studios to a transformed pool with interactive features and improved accessibility.

Additional upgrades include enhanced changing areas, a revamped sauna and steam suite, alongside eco-friendly features such as LED lighting, solar panels, and improved filtration systems.

The café and sports hall will remain closed initially, with further refurbishment planned, including a new catering provider and upgrades to the sports hall.

The sports hall is expected to reopen in summer 2026, with temporary vending options available in the meantime.

Temporary access arrangements remain in place as final external works are completed, with changes to the main entrance and car park in effect until 1 April.

Visitors will need to enter via Trafford Street, where access will be managed, and should allow extra time to arrive as spaces are reduced and routes are narrower than usual.

Alternative arrangements are also in place for accessible access, with step-free routes available via nearby parking at Delamere Street and assistance provided on arrival if needed.
