Brio Northgate is taking a reported changing room incident "extremely seriously" following a police investigation into claims a teenage girl was filmed while using a cubicle.
The leisure operator said it was working closely with the relevant authorities and fully supported Cheshire Police's ongoing investigation.
It added that, because of the active investigation, it would not be commenting further.
Police were called to the Victoria Road site at around 7.35pm on Wednesday 24 June, after a 16-year-old reported seeing a phone camera pointed towards her from a neighbouring changing room cubicle.
A spokesperson for Brio Northgate said: "We are aware of an incident that took place at Brio Northgate and can confirm it is being taken extremely seriously.
"We note the statement issued by Cheshire Police and are fully supportive of their investigation.
"We are working closely with the relevant authorities, and as this matter is subject to an ongoing investigation, it would not be appropriate for us to comment further at this time.
"The safety and wellbeing of everyone who uses our facilities is our absolute priority, and we have comprehensive safeguarding procedures in place across all of our centres."
Cheshire Police has said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, or at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML 2358128.
