Cheshire Constabulary has confirmed a 15-year-old girl has been "found safe and well" following last week's police appeal.

Police were appealing for help from the public in locating a teenager who had gone missing in Chester.

The teenager was reported missing on Wednesday 12 March after last being seen at The Chester Grosvenor on Eastgate Street, Chester, at around 11.25am that same day.

Detective Sergeant Martin Caldwell had said: "She was last seen more than 24 hours ago and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

"We would urge anyone who has seen her since she went missing or has any other information as to her whereabouts to get in touch with us.

"We would also appeal directly for her to get in touch with us to let us know you are OK."
