Benefits:Salary: £21,900 35 hours per week Flexible working hours Half day Fridays! 25 days holiday plus bank holiday About us:The opportunity to work alongside our Business Support team and Health & Safety (H&S) experts on the latest product in the Airbus commercial wing family, the A350 wing at the Broughton plant near Chester. These teams are responsible for important daily activities to maintain production within the wing assembly business. We are responsible for a wide range of activities so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in all aspects of aircraft production. We are a team of Business Support team and Health & Safety experts that enable wing manufacturing production on a daily basis and ensure this is achieved in a safe manner to ensure we exceed customer safety & Quality expectations. As well as day-to day operations, we implement longer-term strategies to improve the industrial system to enable flexibility of our production rates. What you will be doing:You will be working closely with the Health & Safety Leader and Operations Support Team to support the following objectives:
- Accident investigation and reduction, risk assessments, H&S improvement actions in a manufacturing environment;
- Business support will consist of cost saving initiatives and leading strategic improvement projects.
- Studying towards a degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent;
- The desire to work in a technical team environment;
- Excellent IT skills (Google Suite);
- Interest in Health and Safety topics;
- Ability to interface and influence people at all levels within the organisation, and support their decision making;
- The ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively;
- Team worker with a desire to work in an open and trusting environment;
- Imagination and creativity to problem-solve with drive and enthusiasm;
- Willingness to learn and take risks.
