Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting for 2x Electrical Commissioning Technicians for the EPC Contractor on the new build Waste to Energy facility based in Cheshire.The Electrical Commissioning Technician positions come with a day rate from 400.00 to 450.00 per day (Outside IR35)Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:

  • Carry out electrical commissioning activities on a large-scale waste-to-energy facility.
  • Perform cabling works, terminations, continuity, and insulation resistance testing.
  • Conduct electrical testing and verification in line with project and industry standards.
  • Perform motor testing, including pre-commissioning checks and functional testing.
  • Commission LV and MV switchgear, protection relays, and associated systems.
  • Support system energization, fault finding, and troubleshooting during commissioning.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and site regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and client representatives during commissioning phases.
  • Maintain accurate records, test reports, and commissioning documentation.
