We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedSEND Teacherto join our passionate team within an alternative education setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people who require additional support, many of whom have complex needs including SEN, SEMH, or have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across core subjects (Maths, English, Science) tailored to students with SEN needs
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs in a nurturing, structured environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external agencies
  • Contribute to the development of individual education plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Minimum Grade 4/C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs

Desirable:

  • Degree in a relevant subject area
  • SENCO Advanced Certificate or equivalent
  • Completion of Patoss AAA course (or willingness to undertake)
  • Experience in an alternative provision or PRU setting
