Sunday 31 May
books on the walls is thrilled to announce the return of Robin for a celebration of the paperback launch of Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal as well as his new collection of poetry about standing up and standing out, published by Manchester based Flapjack Press.
Let the Quiet Ones Rise mixes comedy and poetry with themes of activism, loneliness and love this collection of poems and stories come from anger about the culture of power and abuse through to joy about Doctor Who and A Taste of Honey.
Normally Weird… Weirdly Normal was inspired by an autistic stranger contacting him and asking if he would like to talk about his mind. Since then, Robin's world has changed very much for the better. This book takes a look at neurodivergence through the experiences of so many people – autistic, adhd, dyspraxic, dyslexic, parents and children, therapists and patients.
Come and join us for another afternoon of Robin magic.
