Hoole Community Centre Prepares for Biggest BBQ Yet as Community Comes Together for Annual Summer Festival
Hoole Community Centre is inviting local residents to join its biggest celebration of the year, with organisers promising an afternoon packed with live music, fantastic food, family entertainment and community spirit.
Taking place on Saturday 25th July from 3pm until 9pm, the annual Community BBQ has become one of Hoole's most anticipated summer events, attracting families, neighbours, volunteers and supporters from across Chester and beyond.
This year's event promises more attractions than ever before, with live music from talented local performers, a premium BBQ featuring quality locally sourced produce, a fully licensed bar serving cocktails and alcoholic slushies, carnival games, inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, hair braiding, raffle and tombola prizes, and activities for all ages throughout the afternoon and evening.
Alongside the entertainment, visitors will also have the opportunity to experience some of the fantastic work that takes place at the centre throughout the year. A number of groups based at Hoole Community Centre will be offering taster sessions and demonstrations, giving people the chance to discover the wide range of activities, opportunities and support available within their local community.
While the BBQ is designed to be a fun-filled day out for families and friends, it also plays a vital role in supporting the future of the centre.
As an independent charity, Hoole Community Centre relies on fundraising events like the BBQ to help fund its work throughout the year. Every ticket purchased, burger sold and raffle ticket bought helps support the activities, services, groups and community programmes that benefit local people every week.
Donna King, Centre Manager at Hoole Community Centre, said:
"The BBQ is the one day of the year when we get to showcase everything that's special about Hoole Community Centre.
We want people to come for the music, the food, the cocktails, the inflatables and the entertainment, but we also want them to discover everything else that happens here throughout the year.
As a charity, events like this genuinely make a difference. The funds raised help us continue providing activities, support and opportunities for local people and ensure that Hoole Community Centre remains a welcoming, vibrant place for everyone.
Whether you've been visiting the centre for years or have never stepped through our doors before, we'd love to welcome you and show you what makes this community so special."
