On Saturday 10 May, Storyhouse Chester will kick off its Women Weekend, two days of events celebrating women and girls.

It has been described as 'a vibrant celebration of empowerment and connection', providing a place for urgent conversations.

The weekend will feature thought-provoking discussions, empowering workshops and celebratory performances.

Curated by a diverse group of women representing various ages, heritages and socioeconomic backgrounds in Chester, the event is a collective effort to address urgent issues, celebrate diverse narratives and create momentum for change.

Storyhouse seeks to champion 'collective empowerment in a move towards a more equitable world'.

Whilst the event is celebrating women, everyone is welcome to attend.

A spokesperson for Storyhouse said: "Whether you would like to gain a deeper understanding of a particular topic or support the women in your life, please come along.

"We encourage young women and girls to attend, and those aged 16-25 can even take advantage of our Young Storyhouse Card discount.

"Storyhouse is proudly trans-inclusive, and all of the organisations that we are collaborating with share this commitment to inclusivity."

Almost all of the events during the weekend are free or £5.

Guests can buy a Weekend Pass for £15 or a day Pass for £10, in order to access all £5/FREE events.

Tickets can be found here.
