Cheshire College South & West is preparing to host a week of events for current and aspiring apprentices in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week.
The week will kick off with an apprenticeship open evening and jobs fair on 10 February, from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, at both the Crewe and Ellesmere Port campuses.
As part of the celebrations, the College will unveil its new Apprenticeship Guide, providing essential information about the wide range of opportunities available.
The event will offer prospective apprentices and job seekers the chance to explore the campus facilities, meet staff and learn about the various apprenticeship programs available.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local employers offering apprenticeship positions.
On 11 and 12 February, the College will host two Apprenticeship Panels, where students can hear directly from apprentices and employers about taking an apprenticeship route.
The session will provide first-hand insights from employers that partner with the College, highlighting the value of apprenticeships and their impact on career development.
Karen Roberts, assistant principal for apprentices and employer engagement commented: "The week aims to highlight the importance of apprenticeships, provide valuable networking opportunities and celebrate the achievements of apprentices and employers within the region."

In addition, the College will hold a virtual Apprenticeship Conference on 11 and 12 February, featuring a series of expert talks on key topics such as the role of artificial intelligence (AI), financial management, mental health and wellbeing, and study skills.
These sessions will provide valuable information to students, with speakers from both the College staff and external guests.
The week will culminate with the annual Apprenticeship Awards Evening on February 13th, where apprentices and their employers will be recognised for their exceptional contributions and achievements.
Karen added: "We are incredibly proud of all our apprentices.
"The evening is a highlight of National Apprenticeship Week, where we celebrate the dedication and achievements of individuals who have made exceptional progress during their apprenticeship journey.
"We also want to recognise the commitment of the employers who have supported and nurtured these apprentices, helping them succeed every step of the way."
Cheshire College will officially launch its new Apprenticeship Guide offering detailed information about the application journey and the wide variety of sectors available, for anyone considering an apprenticeship and employers looking to address skills gaps in their workforce.
Cheshire College invites everyone interested in apprenticeships to explore the various career opportunities on offer at the open evening. For further information on apprenticeships, please visit the website.
