Last weekend, ahead of Chester FC's game against King's Lynn Town, supporters came together to remember those who passed away over the past year.

The tribute took place before kick-off at the Deva Community Stadium on Saturday 15 August, as Chester FC played its first home game of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North season.

Stadium announcer Rob Clegg read out the names of those who had passed away, followed by a period of applause. The names were also included in the matchday programme.

Family-run funeral directors Harty's of Chester sponsored the special remembrance match.

A spokesperson for Harty's of Chester said: "We have had the privilege of caring for many of the loved ones being remembered today and understand the importance of honouring their lives and memories.

"Our elegant Chester Blue fleet of Jaguars proudly represents our city, and we are honoured to provide funeral drive-bys past the Deva Stadium, giving families the opportunity to pay a special tribute to their loved ones.

"We are proud to care for our community and stand alongside Chester FC."
