Macbeth - Storyhouse - running until Saturday 21 March

This weekend is your last chance to catch Storyhouse's bold new production of Macbeth.

Running until Saturday 21 March, the Storyhouse Originals show reimagines Shakespeare's iconic tragedy with a striking, immersive design and an intimate thrust stage.

Directed by Jamie Sophia Fletcher, the production marks the return of Shakespeare to Storyhouse, with a strong cast led by Robin Morrissey and Yolanda Ovide.

Launch Event - Chapters Bookshop & Wine Bar - Saturday 21 March

Chester's newest independent bookshop and wine bar, Chapters, is set to officially open this Saturday.

Located on Watergate Row South, the new venue launches from 10am on Saturday 21 March, with guests invited to drop in and celebrate.

A description reads: "Join us as we open the doors to Chapters Bookshop & Wine Bar for the very first time.

"You're warmly invited to come in, browse the shelves, discover something new to read and enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee as you explore the space. Drop in anytime, have a look around and celebrate the start of Chapters with us - tickets just help us manage numbers so everyone has a nice experience."

Chesney Hawkes concert - The Live Rooms - Saturday 21 March

Chesney Hawkes is set to perform at Chester's Live Rooms this Saturday (Nub News)

Chesney Hawkes is set to perform at Chester's Live Rooms on Saturday 21 March as part of his upcoming UK tour.

As one of the biggest pop stars of the 90s, the singer is well-known for his hit song, 'The One and Only'. The singer recently finished as a finalist in Celebrity Big Brother, alongside completing a huge run of lives shows.

Attendees to the upcoming concert at The Live Rooms can upgrade to VIP and enjoy exclusive early access to the venue.

There will be a chance to meet Chesney Hawkes in person before the show, take home a signed limited edition souvenir print, and a commemorative tour laminate with lanyard. VIP tickets are strictly limited for each date.

The Headlock Vintage Clothing Sale is returning to Storyhouse this Sunday.

The Chester Storyhouse Headlock Vintage Clothing Sale lands at Storyhouse on Sunday 22 March, bringing a huge selection of branded second hand fashion to the city.

Expect names like Adidas, Nike, Levi's and The North Face, with prices starting from just £10 and plenty of multi-buy deals.

Open from 10am to 5pm, the rails will be restocked throughout the day so there's always a chance to snap up a bargain.

Chester Amphitheatre: An 8000 year story - Grosvenor Museum

The Grosvenor Museum has now unveiled its latest exhibition, detailing the story of one of Chester's most significant archaeological sites.

A description reads: "Find out what was there before the Romans built the largest amphitheatre in Britain, what new information was revealed about the amphitheatre and what happened in the centuries after the Romans left.

"This exhibition displays discoveries made by the major research excavations at Chester Amphitheatre in 2004 – 2006, a partnership between English Heritage and the then Chester City Council."
