What's on Chester is brought to you by our events sponsor The Deva Tap.
There are lots of events going on in and around Chester this weekend. You can find a small selection of some of the things to do below. Got an event planned yourself? Submit it HERE.
Author workshop - Books on the Walls - Saturday 28 February

Books on the Walls will host women's health and hormone coach Samantha Hadadi for a 90-minute workshop that "reframes the menstrual cycle".
A description for the event reads: "In this event, Sam will be here to guide you through the four phases of the cycle and how they shape your energy, creativity, intuition, communication, and emotional needs throughout the month.
"You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your cyclical strengths and "superpowers," plus simple ways to work with your body instead of against it. Books will be available to purchase, with an opportunity for signing and questions with the author.
"Tickets £5 (include a drink and Bread Together pizza)."
You can book tickets with [email protected].
Night of improvised comedy - Hoole Community Centre - Saturday 28 February

This Saturday, Chester Improv Society will host 'Banana Skins' - a night of improvised comedy based on participant's suggestions.
A description for the event reads: "We don't know what will happen - but hilarity and silliness are assured, so grab a drink from the bar and lean in to the laughter for a night of monkey-ing around!
"We had an absolute ball at the last one so we're doing it again! Tickets are only £4 and are available from the link below or from the office at Hoole Community Centre.
"Thanks to the generosity of the CHIMPS, all proceeds from this event go straight back into the ongoing costs of running Hoole Community Centre."

Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon - Chester Cathedral

Museum of the Moon, Chester Cathedral's latest installation, is now open to the public.
Artist Luke Jerram's moon sculpture is complete with a surround sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award-winning composer Dan Jones.
Measuring six metres in diameter, the moon features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon's surface.
You can visit 'Museum of the Moon' at Chester Cathedral until Sunday 15 March 2026.

Chester Amphitheatre: An 8000 year story - Grosvenor Museum

The Grosvenor Museum has now unveiled its latest exhibition, detailing the story of one of Chester's most significant archaeological sites.
A description reads: "Find out what was there before the Romans built the largest amphitheatre in Britain, what new information was revealed about the amphitheatre and what happened in the centuries after the Romans left.
"This exhibition displays discoveries made by the major research excavations at Chester Amphitheatre in 2004 – 2006, a partnership between English Heritage and the then Chester City Council."
