Chester Food and Craft Market - Carriage Shed - Saturday 13 June

Chester Food & Craft Market returns to Carriage Shed this Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
Attendees can enjoy a vibrant mix of artisan shopping, delicious street food, live local music, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
Celebrating local independent makers, the monthly festival features a wide range of stalls from handcrafted homeware and unique gifts, to beautiful jewellery, artwork, and more.
The market is free entry and dog friendly.
Ska Day Party - Rosie's - Chester

Rosie's will host an afternoon of ska music this weekend.
Kicking off at 3pm, the event will feature music from The Specials to Madness, Toots & The Maytals to Reel Big Fish.
A description for the event reads: "Expect a mix of vintage ska, mod-era 2-Tone, and modern high-energy ska to keep the dancefloor jumping from start to finish.
"Celebrate sunshine, friendship, and the rhythms that always bring people together."

Susie Dent: Word Perfect - Saturday 13 June - Storyhouse

Storyhouse will host "Britain's best-loved wordsmith" this weekend for a show exploring the joys of the English language.
During the show, Susie Dent will present a brand-new collection of facts and stories from the "wonderful world of words".
A description for the event reads: "With the help of funny, insightful, and head-scratching examples, Susie will entertain and educate us with her pick of language's greatest hits.
"Word Perfect will remind us just how unpredictable, wayward, and utterly magical our mother tongue can be."

Threads Through the Bible - Until Sunday 28 June - Chester Cathedral

A major new textile exhibition exploring creation, redemption and revelation is now open at Chester Cathedral.
Featuring the work of renowned artist Jacqui Parkinson, the exhibition showcases three large-scale sequences - Threads through Creation, Threads through the Cross and Threads through Revelation.
Created over a period of ten years, the display is considered one of the largest textile artworks ever created by a single artist, combining intricate craftsmanship with biblical storytelling through colour and design.
The free exhibition is open daily during Cathedral opening hours and runs until Sunday 28 June. No booking is required.
Sunday roast offer - The Deva Tap

Every Sunday, The Deva Tap serves up a "roast and drink for two" offer, where diners can enjoy any two roasts and two selected drinks for just £35.
With the Brook Street pub noted for stocking specialist beers from independent breweries, the offer includes any cask ale or a medium glass of wine.
Guests can choose from a range of roast options, including beef, chicken, gammon, a trio of meats, or a nut roast.
Each dish is served with roast potatoes, carrot and swede mash, roast parsnips, seasonal greens, a Yorkshire pudding, chive and onion stuffing, and unlimited gravy.
