The Açai Grove is hiring ahead of its second store opening in Chester.

Specialising in açai bowls, smoothies and matcha, the business first opened on Lower Bridge Street in April 2025.

Co-owner Connie Kidd is now gearing up to open a new venue at 4 Music Hall Passage, the former home of French restaurant Chez Francois.

Whilst an official opening date has not yet been revealed, the business has teased that the larger site will offer more seating, alongside fresh juices, "soft serve acai" and frozen yoghurt.

As they prepare to open their second store, the team is hiring for a number of part-time and full-time staff. Those interested in applying can send their CV to [email protected]

Açai, pronounced "ah-sigh-ee", is a berry native to the Amazon region of South America, particularly Brazil. It is commonly used in frozen smoothie bowls and is known for its deep purple colour and antioxidant content.

Chez Francois closed its doors at Music Hall Passage in April 2025.
