Chester Cathedral's latest installation artwork is now open.

Designed by internationally acclaimed sculptor Peter Walker, 'Peace Doves' will be on display until 17 June - during the cathedral's normal operating hours.

With evocative lighting and an original score by David Harper, the exhibit transforms the venue into a "sanctuary of quiet reflection".

Featuring thousands of paper doves decorated with messages of peace, the large-scale artwork invites communities to reflect on the values of peace, unity and harmony.

Each dove carries a unique message - written by visitors, schoolchildren and community groups.

Peter Walker is a renowned sculptor and artist whose works have been displayed in public and private collections worldwide.

His portfolio includes displays in the British Embassy in Paris, the University Church in Oxford and St. Chad's Cathedral in Canada.

Over his 20-year career, Walker has developed a distinct voice in public and monumental art, creating powerful and reflective spaces that engage viewers and build connections across communities.

Following successful exhibitions at venues including Liverpool, Chichester, Lincoln, and Durham Cathedral - Peace Doves continues its national tour.
