Paddington embarks on Chester adventure for wildlife conservation
Paddington bear will move from his spot on Foregate Street, as part of a collaboration with Chester Zoo to protect an endangered bear species.
The marmalade-loving bear will head on an adventure around Chester City Centre, visiting a different location every month, 'whilst meeting new friends along the way'.
Children are being encouraged to take part, by completing their 'Andean adventure passport' for the chance to win a £100 Chester Gift Card.
The first location will be announced this Friday (31 January). You can join in with the Andean Adventure Trail at any time between February and July.
To take part, pick up an Andean adventure passport from the Visitor Information Centre. Then, collect a different sticker from each location to complete your passport.
Stay updated on locations to collect stickers by following Chester Bid on Social Media.
To catch up with stickers just head to the Visitor Information Centre and answer their Andean bear question.
Collect all 6 stickers to complete your passport for the chance to win a Chester Gift Card worth £100.
Once completed, email Chester Bid an image of your full Andean adventurer passport to [email protected]
Please include your contact details, name and child's name.
This project is in collaboration with Chester Zoo, which is working to protect the real-life, highly threatened Andean bear.
The zoo cares for the species as part of a global conservation breeding programme and is also protecting them in the wild.
Chester Zoo is supporting the Andean Adventure trail to help raise awareness for the bears.
