A number of road closures will be in place on the slip roads at Junction 12 of the M53 this month, to install new LED street lighting.

On Monday 12 January and Tuesday 13 January, the northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, with one lane of the M53 northbound also closed at the junction. The closure will come into effect on Monday evening at 9pm.

Overnight closures will be in place on the southbound exit slip road on 14 and 15 January.

The southbound entry slip road will also be closed the following evening, with clearly signed diversion routes will be in place.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: "A three-month programme of works to install new LED street lighting on the slip roads at Junction 12 of the M53 will begin this month.

"To ensure the works can be carried out safely, some overnight closures of the slip roads will be needed.

"All work will take place overnight, between 9pm and 6am, to minimise disruption."
