Observation wheel leaves Grosvenor Park early

The observation wheel in Chester's Grosvenor Park has left the city early.
Having first arrived at the park in April, the wheel was planned to continue offering rides for visitors until mid August.
However, following a "revised national tour schedule", the attraction left the park earlier than planned, with its final day of operation on Sunday 10 August 2025.
Located in Grosvenor Park, the 35-metre-tall attraction offered panoramic views of the surrounding area, with a possible view of up to 12 miles on a clear day.
"We've loved being part of Chester's summer season," said Stephen Kennedy, a representative for the wheel's operators.
"It's a stunning city with a rich heritage, and we've been proud to offer visitors a unique perspective from above.
"While we're wrapping up a little earlier than expected, we're grateful for the warm welcome and enthusiasm from everyone who came along."
Cheshire West and Chester Council said: "Due to a change in its national touring schedule, the observation wheel in Chester's Grosvenor Park has left us a little earlier than planned.
"A big thank you to everyone involved in making it a must-see attraction this summer."
