A Liverpool-based restaurant chain will open in Chester this winter, with an 'exciting new concept' to be revealed early next year.
Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, Maray, will soon join the city's restaurant scene, having first launched on Bold Street 11 years ago.
With a provisional winter opening date, the chain recently signed a 15-year lease at Chester Northgate - formerly home to North Light, a Chester bar and restaurant which closed suddenly at the start of this year.
Currently boasting three other venues, with two in Liverpool and one in Manchester, Maray described Chester as a city it has "long admired".
A spokesperson for Maray said: "It's such an exciting time and we simply can not wait to be a part of the Chester community.
"We're currently building our team and hope to open our doors this year (with a fair wind!)
"Guests can expect the same warm welcome, incredible food and top-notch drinks list that they experience at our other sites in Liverpool and Manchester.
"They can also expect an exciting new concept coming early next year - we're holding our cards close to our chest for now but all will be revealed in due course!"
The chain has hinted at various launch events to celebrate its opening, including 50% off during its first week of trade.
