Plans have been submitted for a new jazz bar in Chester.

A licensing application has been lodged by Ipfani Cocktails LTD, seeking to transform an empty unit into a jazz bar offering live music and light bites.

Known as 'The Stones' the new bar will be found under railway arches next to Chester Racecourse on Kitchen Street, next to popular South African bar The Stixx.

The jazz bar's director is listed as Carl Noller, who has been chef at The Yard, a local mediterranean restaurant, for ten years.

Having worked as a chef for over 27 years, Noller began his career in Chester at the Grovesnor Hotel.

Offering live music and jazz, The Stones plans to serve food such as burgers and light bites.

The venue intends to open from 11am to midnight from Sunday to Thursday, with a later closing time of 1am on Friday and Saturday.
