Local blogger raises over £700 for Chester charity

The face behind The Chester Blog recently hosted a quiz at Chester Market (1 June), raising £782 for a local charity.
Hosted by Richard Trotter, otherwise known as The Chester Blog, the quiz was in aid of Blacon-based mental health charity, Platform for Life.
Founded in 2017, it started as a small volunteer-led counselling service.
Helping young families experiencing homelessness, debt and parenting difficulties, it set out to make therapy and counselling accessible to all.
"It was great to see the market packed out again for our charity event", Richard Trotter told Chester Nub News.

"Thank you to everyone that donated a raffle prize including the very generous Market traders and many others including Vin Santo, End of the Avenue, Food on a Plate Tours, Alexanders, Rainbow Tea Rooms, Sip by Zealots and Against the Grain.
"The quiz resulted in a tie break which Gavin Matthews of Dee 106.3 radio helped out with on stage.
"The amount of money raised shows the strength of community spirit in Chester and will be a great help to Platform for Life and also help to spotlight the role they play in Chester.
"I look forward to hosting another quiz in the autumn."
