Hoole will host its annual Christmas lights switch-on this November.

Organised by Hoole Lights and hosted at Hoole Community Centre, the popular community event will take place on Saturday 14 November.

From 12pm to 6pm, the day will feature live entertainment, a Santa's Grotto, an 'Elf Academy', children's activities, marshmallow toasting, festive food and drink, local stalls and "plenty of Christmas cheer".

Santa's Grotto will operate on a pay-on-the-day basis, with no advance booking required.

A quieter first hour, from 12pm to 1pm, will also be available for families who prefer a more relaxed experience. This will include softer music, a calmer Santa's Grotto and children's crafts.

The celebrations will come to a close with the lights switch-on at around 5pm. Adult tickets can then be used to redeem special offers at participating Hoole businesses on Charles Street and Faulkner Street.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for under-16s, while children under five can attend for free.

Hoole Christmas Lights relies on the support and generosity of the local community, businesses and fundraising efforts throughout the year.
