Residents in Blacon are being urged to complete a survey that will help decide how a £20 million investment is spent in the area.
Blacon has secured £2 million a year for the next ten years through the Pride in Place Programme, giving local people a direct role in deciding priorities for their community.
Local MP Samantha Dixon is reminding residents to complete a survey that will help decide how the money is spent in the area.
Residents should have received a survey through their door, which is the first step in shaping how the funding will be used.
The deadline to complete the survey is the end of January, with further community engagement and next steps to follow very soon.
Each person who completes the survey will be entered into a draw to win a fruit and vegetable hamper from Western Avenue greengrocer, Ian's 5 A Day.
"This is a significant long-term investment in Blacon, and I'd really like to hear from local people about what matters most to them," said Samantha Dixon.
"Every voice matters, and this survey is an opportunity for residents to help shape the future of their community. This funding is about local people deciding what will make Blacon an even better place to live.
"I want to encourage everyone in Blacon to complete the survey and to remind neighbours, friends and family who live locally to do the same.
"This is a huge opportunity for our area, and it's vital that local people shape its future."
Residents who have not received a survey are encouraged to contact Samantha Dixon's office for assistance by email on [email protected] or call on 01244 343 229.
