H Beauty has applied to introduce a champagne bar at its Chester store.
A licensing application submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council this week reveals plans to convert H Beauty's EL&N Café into a small champagne bar.
Under the proposals, alcohol sold for consumption on the premises would be available to customers receiving hair and beauty treatments. Takeaway sales would include "champagne and other high-end products associated with pampering", according to the application.
Champagne bars already operate at other H Beauty stores, including Edinburgh, Milton Keynes and Bristol.
Harrods describes its champagne bar as a place where customers can enjoy champagne by the glass or bottle, alongside patisserie prepared by Harrods chefs, cocktails, tea and coffee.
The application states: "The current Café Servery area will be a new small champagne bar/servery."
The café opened alongside H Beauty when the retailer launched its Chester store at Eastgate Square in February.
Founded by Alexandra Miller in Mayfair in 2017, the international café brand serves speciality coffee, cakes, patisserie and all-day dining dishes.
