A secret boyband will perform a free gig at a Handbridge pub for giffgaff's 'switch-on party' this week.

Guests can expect a mix of live music, drinks and mega 'bytes' to eat, at this free event featuring a surprise live set from 'one of the UK's hottest boybands'.

The band 'planning to lend giffgaff a hand (or five)' by making a stop-off in Chester for the party in between their tour dates.

With organisers remaining tight-lipped on the details, it will take place on Thursday 6 November at a Handbridge pub, with the exact location revealed after tickets are claimed.

Celebrating Chester becoming one of the first areas in the UK to go live on giffgaff's new broadband, limited tickets are now available and are being released daily on Eventbrite until 5 November.

A number of tickets will be released each day until 5 November, allocated on a first come first served basis.

New research from giffgaff shows that over half the UK suffers regular broadband issues.

In the North West alone, more than 340,000 people have missed out on gig tickets because of slow connections.
