Further Merseyrail disruptions on Chester line

Due to ongoing weather related issues, there are further disruptions to Merseyrail services today (Wednesday 8 January).

Disruption is expected to continue throughout today on the Chester & Ellesmere Port lines.

A 30-minute train service is operating between Ellesmere Port and Hooton, calling at all stations.

Trains are departing from Ellesmere port at 19 and 49 minutes past the hour, first departure at 06:19 and last departure 23:19.

Trains are departing from Hooton at 05 and 35 minutes past the hour, first departure at 06:35 and last departure 00:05.

Rail replacement buses are operating every 30 minutes between Rock Ferry and Chester, calling at all stations.

A 15-minute train service is in operation between Rock Ferry and Liverpool city centre. 

Trains are departing from Rock Ferry at 06, 21, 36 and 51 minutes past the hour.

Trains are departing from Moorfields at 03, 18, 33 and 48 mins past the hour 

Merseyrail tickets are being accepted on Transport for Wales services between Chester and Liverpool.

Customers planning to travel today should check the Merseyrail website, the app or 'X' account (@merseyrail) for latest service information before travelling.
