The family of a cyclist who died following a collision on Hoole Bridge have paid tribute to his "kindness, warmth and sense of humour".
At around 3.50am on Thursday 21 May, police were called to reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a silver Toyota Yaris on Hoole Bridge, Chester. The cyclist, Lee Stallwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a tribute, his family described him as a "much-loved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend", saying his kindness and humour "touched the lives of many".
They said: "Lee was tragically taken on the 21st of May 2026. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Lee will be gone but will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
"We as a family need time and space to grieve for Lee. Rest in peace, Lee Stallwood."
Detectives investigating the collision have charged 32-year-old Nathan Howe, of Thorndale Road, Sunderland, with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic collision, and failing to report an accident.
He has been bailed to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday 19 June..
A 35-year-old man, also from Sunderland, who was arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released on bail.
