Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Hoole Road.

At around 6am on November 3, a blue Skoda was involved in a crash with a cyclist on Hoole Road, outside the Shell garage.

Following the crash, the car did not stop and drove off.

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

PC Cooling said: "I'd urge anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken with police or has dash cam footage which will help us to identify the driver to contact us."

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 2207250.
