Frodsham Street's Tesco Superstore will reopen next week following its closure for refurbishment earlier this year.

The store, which temporarily closed on Saturday 10 January, is set to reopen on Monday 30 March.

The refurbishment has included a full refit with enhancements to the store layout, including new fridges, freezers, and upgraded lighting.

Originally planned for completion by 23 March, a Tesco spokesperson said: "Our Chester Superstore is currently closed while we complete a refit to improve the shopping experience for customers.

"We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming customers back later this month."

To ensure continued access to services during the refurbishment, the store's on-site pharmacy was temporarily relocated to a nearby retail unit just outside the store.

Other local Tesco stores remain open as usual, including Chester Sealand Road Superstore and Broughton Chester Extra.
