University of Chester launches funded internship opportunities

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and non-profit organisations could benefit from the University of Chester's internships programme.
Offering fully funded and part-funded paid internships for students and recent graduates, the scheme provides employers with access to emerging talent and additional resources for projects.
Current opportunities include internships for current undergraduate students from under-represented groups and graduate traineeships for recent graduates.
A new 'Grad Launch' Internship scheme for final-year undergraduates will also launch later this academic year.
Chester University's employer engagement team will manage the process for participating businesses – from promoting opportunities and managing applications to answering queries.
Opportunities suitable for students from sociology, criminology, law and the creative industries are particularly welcome.
"The Chester Internships programme gives businesses a simple, supported way to access fresh ideas and skills while building connections with future talent," said Kirsty Badrock, employer engagement co-ordinator at the University of Chester.
"It's a valuable opportunity to boost capacity, trial potential employees and showcase a commitment to developing the next generation."
