A number of city centre road closures will be in place this week ahead of graduation ceremonies at the University of Chester.

From 10.30am to 5pm on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 March, Northgate Street, along with sections of Eastgate Street, Foregate Street, St Werburgh Street, Princess Street and St John Street, will be closed to traffic.

Parking and loading restrictions will also be in place from 7.30am on Princess Street, St Werburgh Street and parts of Northgate Street, Eastgate Street and Foregate Street.

The measures have been introduced under a temporary traffic regulation order issued by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The ceremonies are expected to bring increased footfall into the city centre, with graduates and their families visiting throughout the day.
