Man hospitalised following Chester crash

A road was closed last night (Wednesday 17 September) after a car collided with a wall in Chester.

Yesterday evening there were reports of a crash on Liverpool Road, Chester.

At around 8.40pm police attended the scene and found that a red Vauxhall Astra had collided with a wall.

Paramedics treated the driver of the car at the scene and he was later taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Liverpool Road was closed whilst officers dealt with the incident; it reopened at 12.30am.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 8.40pm on Wednesday 17 September, police were called to reports of a collision on Liverpool Road, Chester.

"The driver of the car was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital."
