Chester Repair Cafe will mark one year of saving items at its event next weekend.
The community-driven initiative aims to reduce waste and promote sustainability, whilst promoting a circular economy where items are reused, repaired and kept out of landfills.
Having first opened its doors to the public in October 2024, the team are hosting a special repair cafe on Saturday 18 October, to celebrate 12 months of the initiative.
It will take place at Hoole Community Centre and run from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Repair experts, such as local tradespeople and hobbyists, volunteer their time and expertise to guide participants through the repair process.
Volunteers are able to work on small electrical items (no microwaves), bikes, clothes, teddy bears, and Windows 10 (end of life).
A spokesperson for Chester Repair Cafe said: "Save your stuff from landfill and save yourself some money all while grabbing a tea and cake at Chester Repair Cafe.
"Broken toaster? Ripped shirt? Bring them along to Chester Repair Cafe and we'll do our best to fix them for you!
"We're so grateful to all our incredible volunteers and visitors who have made the last 12 months so amazing."
It is recommended that attendees only bring one item at a time to the Repair Café, as you will need to be present whilst the repair is taking place.
Repairs are free of charge but donations towards running costs are welcomed.
