Chester Racecourse will host its 'Fireworks Extravaganza' next month, raising vital funds for local charities.

Delivered in partnership with the Lord Mayor of Chester and Cheshire West and Chester Council, this year's not-for-profit event will take place on Saturday 8 November at Chester Racecourse.

The programme includes two professionally choreographed fireworks displays set to music, one of which is a special quiet display designed for younger families.

Alongside the fireworks, visitors can enjoy a wide selection of street food, fairground rides and roaming entertainers.

The Lord Mayor's Fireworks Extravaganza brings Chester's community together to celebrate safely, while making a tangible difference to local charities.

"The Fireworks Extravaganza is a highlight of Chester's events calendar," said Louise Stewart, chief executive of Chester Race Company.

"This event is about more than just fireworks, it is about giving something back to Chester and bringing people together in celebration.

"It is a chance for families, friends and colleagues to come together for a safe and memorable night out, while also making a lasting difference for charities and community groups who provide vital support across the region.

"We are proud that proceeds from the event will support the Lord Mayor's Charity Fund and other local charities, all of whom do remarkable work in our community."

Last year's event raised over £30,000 for local charities including SHARE, Chester Lions, Bren Bikes and KidsBank.

Funds raised from this year's event will be donated to the Lord Mayor's Charity Fund and other local organisations who provide vital services across Chester and West Cheshire.

Gates will open at 5pm with entertainment and fairground rides before the quiet display begins at 6.45pm, followed by the main musical fireworks display at approximately 7.30pm.

Tickets are now on sale, with early bird entry priced from £9 per person. Children aged four and under can attend free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

VIP tickets are available from £32 and include access to a private viewing area, as well as unlimited fairground rides between 5pm and 7pm.

As a not-for-profit event, every ticket purchased directly contributes to charitable efforts in Chester and beyond. With high demand expected, organisers are urging attendees to secure tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets can be booked online here or by calling 01244 304610.
