Local MP leads Chester walking tour for charity

Local MP Samantha Dixon will host a guided walking tour through Chester's historic streets this weekend.
In support of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, the special event will offer the chance to see Chester from a new perspective whilst raising funds for a local charity.
Led by Samantha Dixon and Isabel from Chester's Visitor Information Centre, the walk will start at 2pm on Saturday 5 July.
It will explore some of the city's most iconic sites, uncovering the stories and people that shaped Chester over the centuries.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides compassionate and high-quality end of life care for patients and families across Cheshire West and Chester.
"I'm so proud to support the hospice with this event," said Samantha Dixon MP.
"It's a great way to celebrate our wonderful city and bring people together for a cause that touches so many lives in our community.
"Events like this not only raise vital funds but also raise awareness about the incredible work hospices do every day.
"I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Visitor Information Centre team for their collaboration and support in helping to organise the tour.
"Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable in putting this together. No doubt this will be a fantastic event, and I encourage everyone to take part and show their support."
Suggested donation on the day is £10 or more - with all money going directly to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Places can be booked by contacting the office of Samantha Dixon MP at [email protected] or 01244 343 229.
