Chester man accused of attempting to rob taxi driver in Congleton

A man from Chester who has been accused of attempting to rob a taxi driver has been named today.

Paul Cordingley, of Granville Road, Chester, was arrested on Sunday (22 June) and has since been charged with attempted robbery.

The charge relates to reports of an attempted robbery of a taxi driver on Buxton Road in Congleton.

This incident was reported to police at 4.01am on Sunday 22 June.

The 37-year-old has been remanded in custody until a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Monday (July 21).
