Chester FC trials reduced ticket office hours
By Dherran Titherington 15th May 2026
Chester FC will reduce its ticket office opening hours as part of a three-month trial at the Deva Stadium.
Beginning from Monday 18 May, Chester FC's ticket office will open between 10am and 2pm on weekdays during the trial period, replacing the current 10am to 4pm schedule.
It follows an internal review of ticket purchasing habits and day-to-day operational demands, reflecting the continued growth in online ticket sales and digital services - with the vast majority of supporters now purchasing match tickets, memberships and merchandise through the club's online platforms.
Chester FC has confirmed the trial is part of the club's efforts to operate as "efficiently and sustainably" as possible in the "current economic climate."
A spokesperson said: "By reducing the number of daily staffed hours at the Ticket Office, the club hopes to lower operational costs and energy usage while continuing to provide a high standard of service to supporters.
"The club will review feedback from supporters, volunteers and staff during the trial period before making a decision on whether the revised hours will become permanent.
"If you would like to provide any feedback please email [email protected]. We thank supporters for their continued understanding and support."
Fans can continue to buy tickets online 24 hours a day via the club website, while telephone and email enquiries will still be monitored throughout the working day where possible.
