By Dherran Titherington 29th Oct 2026
Chester FC will hold a special pre-match tribute before the fixture against Hednesford Town this weekend.
On Saturday 31 October, as the closest home game prior to Remembrance Day, the club will hold a tribute before the match at the Deva Community Stadium.
Honouring the Armed Forces community, past and present, the service will feature the laying of wreaths on the pitch, the sounding of The Last Post and a period of silence.
Giving everyone in attendance the opportunity to pay their respects, Chester FC will invite supporters, players and staff to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served.
Chester FC is also seeking fans who have served, or are currently serving, in the Armed Forces.
Serving personnel and veterans who support the Blues are encouraged to take part in the pre-match tribute and represent the club as part of the occasion.
If you are a Chester FC supporter currently serving in the Armed Forces, or a veteran who would like to be involved, please contact [email protected] to express your interest.
A spokesperson for Chester FC said: "We would be proud to recognise members of our own Chester FC family who have served our country.
"Supporters are encouraged to arrive early, take their seats in good time and join us in observing the tribute with the respect and dignity the occasion deserves.
"Further information about the pre-match arrangements will be shared ahead of the game. We Will Remember Them."
